Maritime Family is dedicated to fostering healthy family interactions across Prince Edward Island. Through our comprehensive online platform, we provide resources, events, and articles that support and inspire families."
Originally launched as a print magazine in 2008, Maritime Family was born from Jordan (surname)’s experience of moving to Charlottetown and recognising the lack of resources for parents looking to engage in activities with their children.
Drawing inspiration from family magazines in Montreal, Boston, and Peterborough, Jordan saw the opportunity to fill this gap for Island families. Originally launched as a print magazine in 2009, Maritime Family quickly became a trusted resource for families across PEI.
In 2013, we transitioned to an online format to better serve our growing community, continuing to provide essential information on family events, activities, and support.

At Maritime Family, we share our journey of building meaningful connections, celebrating love, and embracing the joys of togetherness. Through this space, we hope to inspire other families to find joy in the simple moments and strengthen the bonds that matter most.
